|All participants who raise $100 or more for the Heart Walk receive an official Heart Walk t-shirt. (Shirts were distributed at Bank Day and the Walk.) Walkers who raise over $250 are also eligible for additional Thank You Gifts.|

The American Heart Association is the largest voluntary health organization dedicated to defeating heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases. Our mission is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke ó the nationís No.1 and No.5 killers. St. Joseph's Medical Center and American Heart Association want to recognize people who have made positive changes to improve their quality of life and health. No change is too small, and every accomplishment is significant.
Nominations for the 2015 Lifestyle Change Award, locally sponsored by St. Joseph's Medical Center, are now closed. One winner will be chosen by a selection committee and announced at the St. Joseph's Caring for Me event on Thursday, October 1, 2015.
Over the last several years I have made some changes in my lifestyle, mostly increased my physical activity. What I didnít really think about in making this change was my heart. More ...
